A public, searchable database of third-party Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for research peptides, indexed by batch number.
Who we are
Northgate Analytical is an independent registry. It does not manufacture, sell or distribute peptides and has no commercial relationship with the manufacturers whose batches appear here. Certificates are published as received from the named testing laboratories, together with the batch code, peptide, manufacturer, purity result and test date recorded on the certificate.
The purpose of the registry is narrow and practical: to let anyone holding a batch code check whether that batch was tested by a third-party laboratory and read the certificate for it.
Testing methodology
The certificates listed here report results from two standard analytical techniques.
Purity by HPLC. High-performance liquid chromatography separates the sample into its components. The reported purity is the area of the main peak as a percentage of the total peak area, usually measured by UV absorbance at a fixed wavelength. It describes how much of the peptide content is the target sequence relative to peptide-related impurities; it does not measure water, salt or other non-peptide content.
Identity by LC-MS. Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry measures the mass of the main component. Identity is recorded as confirmed when the observed mass matches the expected mass of the named peptide within the tolerance on the certificate.
How results are recorded
For each certificate the registry records the purity percentage, the observed molecular weight, the test method, the laboratory that carried out the test and the test date. Values are transcribed exactly as printed and are not recalculated. Each record links to the source document so you can read the original.
The status field reflects the laboratory's own conclusion:

What a Certificate of Analysis is
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document issued by a testing laboratory that records the results of the tests performed on a specific batch of material. It typically states the sample description, the batch or lot number, the methods used, the measured values, the specification each value was compared against, and the date of testing.
A COA applies only to the batch it names. It is a record of what was measured in the sample submitted to the laboratory at the time of testing; it is not a guarantee about other batches, about material stored or handled differently, or about the product's suitability for any purpose.
